Sailing holidays in the Marlborough Sounds
Expected depart:
January 2018
World region::
Australia/New Zealand
Departure port:
Nelson, South Island NZ
Free bunks:

Type of ship:
Sail yacht
Yacht/fleet information:
The First 285 is a popular small yacht from the Beneteau stable. A very roomy boat for its size, with a good sized double cabin aft and a smaller double forward. We consider the forward cabin too small for comfort for two adults so this boat is best suited for a couple or a family with smaller children. An easily managed sail plan of furling headsail and main with lazy jacks makes for comfortable cruising.
Launched in 1991, Finesse is quite an old boat by world charter standards but is in fact the newest boat of her size available for charter in NZ. Like all of our boats she is maintained in very good condition.

THE SEASONS:
Peak: 24 December to 16 January
High: 11 December to 23 December and 17 Jan to 8 March
Mid: 20 Oct to 10 Dec and 9 March to 30 Apr
Low: 1 May to 19 October

Hello. We are currently 3 people, all MCA or RYA YM Ocean holder, and have planned to charter a sailboat up to 47ft in the middle of june on the north coast of France. To have enough space and quiet for everyone the maximum on board should not exceed 6. The plan is to sail the french coast down west and south from Le Havre over the Channel Islands to Brest depending on wind and weather and back over Englands west coast (Devon/Cornwall), Falmouth and Plymouth back to France. Trip should takes approx. 3 weeks with max 30-40 miles a day. We are open for inspirational ideas about the route. Meeting point is the Charter Base in France (prob. Le Havre, boat availability act. open) approx. 2 days before take off for proviant purchase etc. If you are interested send a short notice. Cu
